50,000 hours, but we can gain a substantial amount of lifetime with the use of our heat sinks.

Have you applied for DOE Energy Star?

We are awaiting the final criteria for outdoor pole mounted luminaires.  We will be applying for the certification.

Why does everyone say that LED outdoor lighting technology is not ready yet?

That is because until now, LED's did not have the light output/power efficacy to replace high lumen output lights such as HID types.  The past couple of years have been real exciting for the advancement of this technology.  LED light outputs have tripled in many cases while consuming the same amount of power.  Our streetlights now have a comparable lumen output to most conventional HID lights while using 1/3 the power and lasting 5X as long.

What makes Millennia Technologies lights so good?

Most LED streetlights available today that can replace up to 200 Watt HID type use significantly more power than we do.  Not only do they use more power, but they also cost more than ours.  These other LED Street Lights have fixed optics and can only be used on straight roadways.  Our lamp has the capability of adjusting its light footprint to the applied location.
